For these princess cakes (and future flower endeavors) I bought a flower making kit. These were made using the blossom cut & press set. Then I painted them with food paste and water and painted on some edible shimmer :)

Red Velvet Trial 2
So this was the second time I tried making red velvet cake. It turned out SO much better than the first time. They were so moist and tastey! With a little cream cheese icing on top! DE-LISH!
I still don't think I fully understand red velvet cake. But they were pretty good, I must say :) I am very happy with the way they turned out. Very pleased with the recipe :)

Love bites :)
ahah I think that the title of this post pretty well sums it all up.
They're cute, they look like love, and they were made with love <3
Ergo: Love bites ;)
These were made as an initial experiment with cake pops sans sticks. I ended up giving some to my dad when we met for dinner, and I gave one to the best lady I know <3 A Miss G. Milling.

Fancy pops and Lindt cookies
I had an order for 1 dozen white chocolate and 1 dozen milk chocolate pops along with some Lindt chocolate cookies! :) I thought these pops looked very fancy <3 and later found out they were for a party! I used some bags I originally purchased for Valentines day, contributing to the fancy. :) haha

I had hit a bit of a road block for photographing cookies here. In comparison to pops and C-cakes, most cookies are kind of boring to look at. They were yummy though, despite the lack of photos. ahah

Specialty Pop
BEEP BEEP!
Somebody asked me if I could make a cake pop shaped like a VW beetle. And I thought...H'oh my god are you serious?!?! ahah And then I asked her what colour? I accepted the challenge. :)
I told her I would try it out, and see what happens :)
While this beetle cake pop took quite some time, I am SO happy with the outcome! Since it was only a first try there are some things that I would do differently in future. For instance, I tried to shape a space for the tires while the chocolate was still wet..it did not go well. On one side it got a little rough. All in all not a bad experiment. :D
hehe, this is my favorite part! :D
I'm such a dork! ;)
Rainbow pops with a side of C-cakes..for kids!
Packaged pops all in a row |
I was asked for 3 dozen cake pops for a bowling alley function in Bancroft. Rainbow pops! Kids are fun, and kids are certainly colourful! :) AND this way they got to chose their favorite colour to enjoy. (Also I <3 rainbows aha)
AND.... a side of C-cakes

Basketball pops!
I was asked if I could make cake pops for a basketball tournament. Of course instantly basketball pops come to mind :)
It took me a little while to really wrap my head around how the lines fit on the balls, but got it eventually :) I painted the lines on using food colouring paste mixed with water. It was a lot of fun and exciting to see them all lined up :)
Wrapped and ready to be delivered. Delivery is always my favorite part. I love to see the smiles!!! I was told they were a huge hit with the kids :)
**On a side note** I was asked about peanut allergies (it has come up before) and so I did some research. The candy melts that I use and most other candy melts are all made in factories where peanuts may come into contact with the product. I read some forums about peanut free melts and they typically say that there are SOME candy wafers that are peanut free but only in white and brown. Not really colourful. I also read that you can add colour to the chocolate when its melted, but in my experience when adding anything to tempered chocolate you run a high risk of it seizing :( I'm going to keep looking around for peanut free products and keep you posted.
